Sussex Pedestrian Gate

Our most popular gate, the Sussex is a framed, ledged and multi braced stop mortised Close Board gate. Supplied in a sawn finish pressure treated softwood. At a height of 1.76m it is available in widths of 0.9m and 1.2m which make it ideal to be used as a single or pair. The timber is pressure treated and the slats can vary in shade, pressure treatment can sometimes appear as slight green markings in the timber, this is normal and will fade in time.It isn't necessary to further treat the timber unless you want to specifically change the colour. Due to the sawn nature of the timber a paint style treatment is not recommended and a satisfactory finish will be unlikely, we suggest a timber preserving treatment such as Barretine Wood Protective Treatment or Barretine Shed and Fence.
